Christmas presents | Fashion & Beauty

Merry belated Christmas to you!!

I hope you all have had a great time spreading your Christmas cheer with friends and family. This year I got a few fashion and beauty bits and pieces so I thought I'd share them, there aren't lots but there are a few things I really wanted to share.

The first few things are all from New Look. I got a plain black skater skirt because I already have one and it's in and out the wash so much that it doesn't hurt to have a second, it's such a core piece in my wardrobe and I wear it all year round. The next was an oversized forest green jumper, it's so warm and soft and I love layering at this time of year so will be perfect for the winter months.

The final thing from New Look was more of a joke present. I already have 2 onesies from there because whenever I travel I find them so easy to slip on and keep leggings in my bag for after the journey. This one however is a bit more fun than my plain black with white trim one, it is covered in cookie monsters! It's a joke present because anyone that knows me will tell you I am a bit if a chocolate lover and I probably am the real life Cookie Monster and that I live in my onesies at home.

These last few bits are beauty. Recently I have been a lot more into my make up products. I've really changed my make up routine through out the year and I was really after some new brushes. I was given the Fearne Cotton dual end brushes which I love for so many reasons!! Firstly I don't think I can describe my love for Fearne, she has always been a big role model of mine since I was very young, from her fashion and style to her media career, I just think she is fantastic and seems like such a nice person. I also love the brushes because they are SO SOFT! So thanks mum and dad x

The final thing I was given was a trio of glitter nails inc. polishes.
Glitter+ Christmas+nail polishes= my heaven!! They are really nice, and will probably review them in the future.

Electric lane - holographic top coat
Covent Garden Market - full coverage ruby red glitter
Soho street - rainbow party glitter

So that's all I wanted to share, I will be doing a few more OOTD posts over the next few weeks and a few music reviews. But for now that's it, speak soon,

Weekend of Outfits |

Hey guys,
So as promised this is what I wore this weekend. It was a very laid back weekend, so I think the outfits show that. All the information about the clothes will be with each outfit

On Saturday I visited a friend who I hadn't seen in a while, as it was only going to be an afternoon in I went for a quite simple outfit. I wore my disco pants, Christmas jumper and jersey shirt with my vans. I added the detail of the shirt's collar because it gives the outfit another layer and even more Christmassy feel as it has gold tips. I wore y grey vans because they are one of my favourite pairs of shoe and they really dress down the outfit, if it had been a day out I think I would have worn my red creepers and my leather jacket. However I wore my denim jacket because I thought it gave the outfit an even more casual look. For my make up I wore a simple winged eyeliner and red lip.

Disco Pants - EBay

Lipstick - Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Shade 107

Sunday was a lot more laid back, I stayed in most of the day other than going Christmas shopping * if you were sitting here with me writing this you'd hear jingle bells beginning to play in my head, it happens when I think of Christmas;)* I again wore my disco pants( I've basically lived in them since the day I got them) with a multicoloured jumper, again with my vans. It's a very simple, comfy outfit which seems to be my go to outfit when I have nothing to wear or have no inspiration. I wore a nude pink lip with this so that my lips were not completely bare.

Jumper - Tesco ( I fell in love with it when I saw it even though it is tesco)

Vans - Amazon
Lipstick - Rimmel Pink Blush

Some Ideas | week in outfits

Hey guys,
This is just a quick post I hope to get some feedback on. Since for the next few weeks I will be off school, I though it might be a great chance for you to get to know my style. I thought the best way for me to do this would be to do a 'week with me' series which could lead to weekends, days or even occasion outfits that I have been wearing. They would include my make-up that day, nails, shoes, accessories, the lot!
Now this isn't fully my idea. I got the inspiration from the YouTube channel of sunbeamjess' 'How I style' series she has been doing, if you haven't watched her videos already, then I highly suggest you check her out, especially you are a shoe lover. I was also inspired by my friend Tabitha, who recently started a blog and has been doing daily 'Today's Outfits' posts. You should definitely take a look at her brilliant blog!! http://tabithabeckett.blogspot.com

So if you like the idea, let me know because I will be starting with a weekend with me this week, and will hopefully post my Christmas week in outfits on Sunday 30th.

Hope you all have a lovely week and speak soon

New hair | Wild Ombré review

Hey guys,
If you read my last post you would know that over the weekend I bought the new L'oreal Wild Ombré home hair dye kit. I bought shade 3 because although I have dark blonde almost brown hair, I felt the kit for lightest hair seemed most accurate.

I've tried dying my whole hair before and I always needed someone else to help me and it never really dyed my hair. Whether that was because I'd conditioned my hair the time before and that made the colour not stay, or because I'd just used a bad brand I will never know. The only place dye would ever stay would be my roots. So for about 4months I had really dark brown roots, it didn't give me the 'grown out highlights look' more the 'how is her hair so constantly greasy look'. So if you were me it would have been very daunting too.

I've been considering dip dye for a while now, and it was when this kit came out that I thought would be a great time. In the UK there are only a few brands that do dip dye kits, the main being CrazyColour and I did not want to do anything to bold since it would mean applying it regularly. So doing lighter ends was the one! Also since I am still in school, turning up with bright blue ends with polka dots wasn't going to give a great impression.

Moving on, the kit was very easy to use, for the first time I could do everything by myself and that in itself was an achievement for me. The instructions given are very straight forward, mainly picture based which I find is always better in these sorts of kits. After the first 25 minutes it's pretty much up to you! I decided it wasn't quite ready and that I would keep checking every 5 minutes or so. After an extra 10 I felt it was ready and washed and dried my hair. The finished look was a lot better than I expected, especially with my history of hair dye, and although it would have been a lot lighter I really do like the finished outcome. I may redo it in the future but for now it works.

I have friends who have also used the kit and they did it twice to improve the intensity, their hair hasn't gone straw like and it does not seem dry. At the end of the day it is a bleaching product and does contain peroxide but since it is only the ends of the hair it is easily removed or easily changed back.

So that's it for my review, it is a really great product that I would recommend if you have long hair, I personally think if you have short hair you have to be willing to go for it and not regret the outcome.

Thanks for reading and see you in my next post!!

Festive Gathering 2012 | I bought some more stuff!!

Hey guys, so today was the annual youtube festive gathering, as well as being a nice chance to catch up a lot of friends and meet new people, it was also great to go into London!! Although it was cold and muddy it was a great day.

The best part of the day, was meeting Zoe, Fleur and Louise. To finally meet the people that have inspired my fashion so much was incredible. They were all so lovely and it was especially great to meet Zoe, she raves about her disco pants so much I bought a pair and seeing she had the Kate Moss Matte lipstick which I had contemplated buying definitely made me bite the bullet and just buy it. So thank you if you see this post girls!!

We also met people such as Tom Law, Carrie Fletcher, Alfie Dayes and Zoe's brother Joe!

Since I was in Central London I also decided to have a bit of a shop. Firstly, I bought the Kate Moss Matte lipstick in Wine(shade107). Pretty much every local superdrug and boots local to me has sold out of the shade so it was a relief to finally find it! I have to admit, I did a bit of a song and dance when I found it. I really love it though, it's so soft on the lips and really buildable. It has a really fruity scent and what I love the most is that it's quite deep and vampy without being too dark and hard to wear for someone as young as myself.
The second thing I bought was an MUA lip liner in Red Drama to wear with my Rimmel Red lipstick in shade 170 , the colours are identical and for £1 it glides on so well. MUA is such an affordable brand and its products are great quality.
The last beauty product I bought was L'oreal Wild Ombré hair dye kit. I have been wanting to do this to my hair for a while now, and since it's the Christmas holidays, I thought it was a great opportunity to do it! From the look of it, I think it will be easy, but I will do a review once I've done it later next week.
The last thing I bought at all, was a top for a friends party. I wanted to find something I could dress up or down depending on the occasion. I found a sheer, velvet leopard print patterned cropped top in H&M. It sits right above where my disco pants finish so they look perfect together. It will be an outfit I will be in a lot this Christmas.

So that's it from me, new posts soon:)
