The greatest store in the world

Since its Christmas, it is only fair to refer to Harrods as the greatest store in the world because that is up there as one of my favourite Christmas films.
While in London yesterday, I took a few snaps of my trip to Harrods and Valerie Patisserie ,my mums favourite cake shop...ever, purely because it's Christmas and everywhere in London is covered in lights and glitter, I for one can never complain when there's a little Christmas magic in the air! It was so nice to look but not touch and gaze at all the expensive clothes and chocolate and wonder when the day will come when I will shop 'til  drop in the amazing place that is Harrods. As always I spent far to long in the beauty section, but who wouldn't when it smells and looks divine!!

The Friend Christmas

'The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear'... and that's exactly what we did. Today was the final day of school before the holidays which was filled with carols, sleigh races, Christmas jumper competitions and more. It's always a lot of fun to spend the day with friends singing our hearts out to our favourite Christmas songs. Usually our fun ends at 12pm, however this year my friends and I decided to do things differently.

We started our Christmas day prep around a month ago while we were at lunch. We decided that in order to have a great Christmas celebration there had to be food and presents. The presents would come in the form of a secret Santa between the 8 of us, we had a budget of £25 to get something special for our person. The main issue we had with having a secret Santa was the 'secret' part. It's hard enough to keep a secret from a couple friends is hard enough but it's worse when you can't tell a single soul!! The fact we survived the month and succeeded is probably the biggest triumph tat has come out of our Christmas!

Our next task was to find somewhere suitable to eat, which was a lot easier than the latter, we chose a carvery that had a Christmas deal on. This way we could splash out on our gifts if we went over budget as we wouldn't have to worry about the expensive meal, as it was a set price.

It has been a great day that I have a feeling will become a slight tradition for my friends and me and here are some pictures we took throughout the day. Enjoy!!

there's magic everywhere you go...

song of the day - love is on the radio, mcfly
shirt - brick lane
necklace - topshop
rings - h&m , kukee
skirt - h&m
shoes - dr martens

On a recent trip to Brick Lane I picked up this shirt from one of my favourite shops in the area, it has a slight rip but i think that adds a nice grungey touch. Make up wise I seem to have gone back to my old ways and have a light shadow and winged liner look with little else going on. I just think that this make up look is so good for winter.
Have a good weekend xx

A New Image | 1 year as a blogger

So I decided to give my blog a bit of a makeover today. It has been something I've wanted to do for a while now because what I almost felt as though I had grown out of the original layout. It may sound a little silly, but as I've gone through my first year with this blog, I have changed as a person a lot because I've been able to express myself a lot more and share all sorts with you all, whether that's 2 or 20 people.  It has helped me become a more confident person in the real world and it has just been so fun to share all my opinions with whoever is out there and I just wanted to say thank you for reading.

The change to the look was inspired by what I have been doing lately, I just got a polaroid camera that someone in my family no longer wanted and I've been so excited to use it. obviously the film is so expensive because its no longer being made so I've been using the camera to capture the special or exciting moments of this year and many more such as special birthdays( I recently celebrated a friend of 13 years birthday and it was so lovely to take a picture of our long lived friendship).

I want to also use this post as an apology, because I have my mocks in early january, I wont be able to post over late december and january because i have to focus on my work. I know I should try and be better with time management but unfortunately I haven't figured out how to organise my time, I will have to let you down I'm afraid!!
