Cold Weather Wants

image from google images.

Due to the sudden cold weather we have been experiencing in the UK, I have had to take a look at what I actually own that is appropriate for the cold weather. Sadly I seem to lack a lot of warm clothes, so I have been making a wishlist for my next shopping trip before I freeze again at the train station early in the morning.

1 - I really love layering but don't have many jumpers to do this with and really felt like these jumpers may be great inexpensive, warm pieces that would look great layered with shirts or longer tees and jeans. ( here, here , here , here or here) I also love sweatshirts for the days where I'm feeling lazy and need an outfit that I can put on when I'm in a rush!

2 - Although I am in love with my simple black snood from H&Mwhich has lasted a few years now, sometimes I wish I had something a little more interesting to wear, which is why these (here & here) tartan scarves from Missguided are really appealing, they would definitely make a simple all black or monochrome outfit more fun without being overwhelmed with accessories.

3 - A simple but effective way of fixing my freezing situation would be to use base layers such as these from the UniQlo Heattech range. This way you can be warmer without losing the look of your favourite jeans(or at least that's what I'm hoping). I am definitely going to invest in some of the heattech socks so that I can still fit my feet into my beloved new boots without attempting to wear super thick socks and feeling as if my feet will lose circulation(has this only happened to me?Yes, okay...)

This is what I am hoping to buy to get through the winter these next few months, what will you be stocking up on? Primark supercosy tights?

I was 16 going on 17 | How I celebrated my birthday

As you may have guessed, this week I celebrated my birthday, and I have to say it has been one of my favourites.

After receiving various baked good themed cards, make up and bath goodies I felt well and truly spoilt by my friends, but now I will be able to review the variety of products for you all in the coming months!

On the evening of my birthday, I spent the evening with a large group of friends for dinner, where, our strange school tradition continued and I was caked in the face! On saturday I went to London with friends to eat in our favourite GBK branch and have a look around the Selfridges make up hall.
Today I finally got the chance to spend time with my parents and head to my favourite restaurant as I do every year.

Here are photos from the various celebrations along with a few outfit shots.

Shirt - Charity Shop
Jeans - River Island
Shoes - H&M
Scrunchie - Urban Outfitters

Thank you to all my friends and family who sent me messages and made my birthday and fantastic one. And I hope that I will be putting up some reviews soon.

Hello 2015!

2014 was a year of stress, exams and finding confidence for me, so I felt the need to reflect on the last year. It's hard to condense all that I would hope to say about a whole year so I have a top few moments of 2014 for me.

Passing my GCSEs - I spent months revising and to finish 2 years of hard work with good grades was a proud moment.

Travelling along the east coast - In August as you will have seen from blog posts, I spent 3 weeks in America, mainly in New York but I also spent a few days in Jersey and Philly. It was an amazing experience to explore such a big city and it has made me want to visit again but perhaps in winter instead.

Travelling to Singapore alone - In October I went on my first plane journey alone, and as scary as it was, like going to New York, it has definitely sparked an even greater interest in travel that I had before... saving for another trip starts now!

Blog hit 100 followers on Bloglovin' - Although this is still a very small number, getting to over 100 followers has really boosted my confidence and I am excited to improve it further in this new year.

I don't tend to write resolutions because in general I believe if you want something to change, there is no reason to wait until a new year to change it. However I do write goals for the year or a point in the year I should be excited for which can motivate, not change me.

Learn to drive - with my birthday a matter of weeks away, I am looking forward to finally learning to drive,  hopefully I won't be too scared!

Improve my blog - Aftera couple years, I still don't quite feel like I have a focus when it comes to blogging and I am hoping 2015 will be the year I will be able to find my way a bit better and post more things that I enjoy creating as well as things that you seem to like reading.

A week in Washington DC - I am really excited to be going back to America this year and see more sites.
